Day 2 - Yad Vashem
We began the day with a visit to Yad Vashem, the national Holocaust memorial (http://www.yadvashem.org/). It is always a sobering experience. I am constantly amazed by the way men devise evil schemes. This was not a case of a few guys getting drunk then rioting and a few Jews. This was an entire government systematically planning the extermination of another people. The meticulous manner in which the s carried out their plan is an example of men using their power for evil and was certainly motivated and empowered by the Devil. What's worse, they claimed to be "Christians".
Tonight is the beginning of the Sabbath and we'll head back to the Western Wall to see the people come there to pray. I'll confess, it's a bit odd to go to what is effectively someone else's church just to watch them worship, but it is interesting. Whether they worship this way because it is their custom or because they really love God, only the Lord knows. Let's pray that they would believe the Good News.
Thus far all is well. Everyone is tired but it's a joyful kind of tired. Tomorrow we tour the Mount of Olives a very important place indeed.

Steve,
If you have it available, it'd be great to see the whole itinerary. Also, could you provide a list of the travelers?
Thanks!
Lisa
