God with us

Day 1: Overlooking the temple mount. The first time students look at the Temple Mount from the Mount of Olives is a great day. I love seeing the look of delight in their eyes. They made it to Israel! We took a few minutes to think about the presence of God with humanity. From the beginning God has desired to be in a relationship with mankind. The temple in Jerusalem (now destroyed of course) is a symbol of that desire. Through the Holy Spirit God now indwells his people and we live in the hopeful expectation that one day we will be with him forever! It's great to be back.

Great pic, Steve! The day we were there, it was slightly overcast. Some men had brought a camel to this spot for the tourists. I tried to get a kiss from the camel...but he was stuck up. See if I ever so that again...Chris Lange
